Nin Nin Yau Yue (An Abundance Of Fortune Every Year)

Ingredients

500g Garoupa fish, season lightly with salt and pepper; dust lightly with tapioca flour
1 big onion, cubed

(A):
50g green capsicum, cut into wedges
1 red chilli, seeded and cut into wedges
1 tomato, quartered
5 pieces canned pineapple cubes, cut into smaller pieces
1 tsp chopped garlic

Sauce ingredients:
4 tbsp tomato sauce
2 tbsp chilli sauce
1 tbsp oyster sauce
1/2 cup pineapple syrup (from the can)
1 tbsp lemon juice
1 tsp ikan bilis stock granules

Garnishing:
Spring onion
Chilli strips

Method


  1. Deep fry fish in hot oil. Dish out, drain well and set aside.
  2. Heat wok with oil, saute chopped garlic and cubed big onions. Add in sauce ingredients and bring to a boil. Add in the rest of the ingredients and simmer for a while.
  3. Pour sauce over fish and garnish before serving.
